Psychotherapy
Psychotherapists help individuals who are experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties to understand their problems and make appropriate changes to their lives.
What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is talking therapy. It explores conscious awareness of our thoughts and emotions to determine how and why we do things. The conscious mind may interfere if thoughts are not connected with emotions For weight loss for example, psychotherapy will try and find out why you eat when you eat and find the triggers for this specific behaviour Psychotherapy works hand in hand with Hypnotherapy.
How does Psychotherapy relate to Hypnotherapy?
Psychotherapy, or talking therapy, is a first step to explore thoughts, emotions and behaviours that a person needs to deal with.
Hypnotherapy is the next step that accesses the sub conscious mind when it is in a relaxed state of intense internal concentration. The direct access to emotions and thoughts allows the necessary changes to behaviour to occur. The sub conscious mind is like a 24/7 recorder that has no relation to time or logic.

Integrative Psychotherapist
What does a psychotherapist do?
Am I an integrative therapist, because I firmly believe that we don’t fit everybody in one specific approach. I create the therapy that will fit my clients, picking from different approaches and working with whatever the client feels that is best for them.
Just how stressed are you?
If I ask you “How stressed are you?”, how do you respond to the question?
Do you laugh? Or feel like crying? Do you feel angry or stressed?
It is important to check from time to time just how stressed you feel. Do the assessment and you will know when to take stress more seriously and when the time has come to look for new ways of dealing with stress. Start by thinking about these two questions: Am I Great or Am I a Walking Disaster?
